If you’ve been following us on social then you might have seen that we were very excited to be nominated and then shortlisted for the Llais Cymru Awards in the Best New Business category.
Llais awards are the brainchild of Heulwen Davies, marketing and PR guru especially for Welsh and bilingual businesses. Each year the awards celebrate women in business in Wales or in Heulwen’s own words:
“a unique opportunity to celebrate and recognise the important contributions made by women in the world of business in Wales”.
This year the awards ceremony was held at the impressive Egin, home of the S4C.
So on Friday the 7th of July, PataPata packed for Carmarthen excited to see what the evening might hold. Prize or no prize: the evening was joyful. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet the other nominees and be in a room filled with other amazing businesses and specifically business women! We felt so inspired.
Once we were there we were treated to a fun-filled evening of drinks, nibbles and networking. As well as hearing from all the finalists we heard from members of the Development Bank of Wales, the Welsh Government and Elevate Business Coaching.
It was so inspiring to see women from all walks of life, from all over the country doing such brilliant things with their own businesses. We left full of new ideas.
We were lucky enough to win the award as voted for by the public - what an honour to have been supported by so many, especially as we are so new!
